Services

Vista Eyecare is an independent, full-service optometric practice committed to helping it’s community maintain a lifetime of clear, comfortable vision. Some of the services we provide include:

Full Comprehensive Eye Exams

Periodic eye exams not only ensure you are seeing your best, but more importantly help in the early detection of eye disease that, if left undiagnosed, could lead to permanent vision loss. Remember, you could have early stages of glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, retinal tears, keratoconnus or diabetic retinopathy and STILL have 20/20 vision. Children, seniors, contact lens wearers, diabetics and those who are considered at a higher risk for eye disease should have their eyes checked annually. All other adults should be seen at least every 2 years. Not sure when you should come in? Ask our staff or your doctor of optometry. Children’s exams are fully covered by MSP and our senior patients are partially covered by MSP once a year.

Fees for our adult exams vary between $94-$170 depending on risk factors including contact lens wear, systemic health concerns, and previous ocular history. Our children’s exams (18 and younger) remain an MSP insured service with no additional fees.

Problem Specific Exam / Emergency Care

If you are noticing changes to your vision, ocular comfort and/or experiencing signs of an eye emergency such as sudden vision loss, flashing lights, floaters, red eye, pain, or double vision please contact our office immediately. We are licensed to prescribe medications for various ocular conditions including infections, inflammation, allergy and dryness.

Between the routine full eye exams completed at our clinic, any concerns or emergencies are assessed as an MSP insured service with no additional fees.

Contact Lens Assessment

A thorough examination will allow us to determine the most suitable lens for you, taking into account the health of your eye and your specific visual demands. We carry an extensive selection of disposable and frequent replacement lenses including multifocal, astigmatism, coloured and rigid gas permeable lenses.

Dry Eye Assessment & Treatment

Dry eye is the term used to describe eyes that do not produce enough tears or that produce tears without the proper chemical composition. A proper assessment will identify the causes that contribute to your symptoms and the therapeutic options to help manage/eliminate them.

Refractive Surgery Co-management

An evaluation of your eyes and discussion of your visual goals will help determine if you are an appropriate candidate for refractive surgery (ex: LASIK). After a full evaluation, we will forward your information to the surgeon and a pre-operative appointment will be arranged. The multiple visits required of post-operative management can be arranged with our doctors.

Optical Dispensing

Our staff keeps up to date with the latest developments within the eye industry. Let us help you navigate the complex selection of lens designs, materials, coatings, frames and sun protection to help meet your visual needs. With over a 1000 frames to choose from, from the latest trends to the tried and true classics, you are sure to find a pair of glasses that suites your unique personality.
